JOINING OUR DOJO

Yes. 

The Yasuragi Dojo offers a wide array of free resources for students and enthusiasts of Kobudo, regardless of level.

No. Membership to the Dojo is priced by the year and payment options are available by year or month to month only.

However, when guests visit us from out of town, we do offer options based on their visit. 

No. We are a very small, non-profit business. We expect students to manage their own payments to the Dojo, and therefor offer an easy to use tuition management system for each member. 

The second reason is that we prefer to keep the Dojo a place that does not have a cash register. Too much to type about here, but let's just say that it has no place in a traditional Dojo and we intend to keep it that way. 

No. The training agreements at our Dojo are month to month. If you wish to leave us we only ask for the courtesy of a 30 day notice prior. Pretty simple. 

We no longer offer children's classes at our Dojo.

After 25 years of teaching children in Putnam County, NY, Adam Sensei stopped teaching children in December, 2023. This choice was made so he could focus on his own study under Manaka Sensei, and closer attention to his adult students and training groups.  

Yes.

Members who pay by the year receive a discount that equals two free months. 

No. Students are required to get their own training equipment and uniform after they enroll.
